The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) is a Canadian multinational banking and financial services company serving more than seven million digital customers.
I joined the Access team on a short term contract during a period of team transition to ensure continuity of key operations and deliverables. I led the design, strategy, and execution for authentication and authorization experiences across web and mobile banking products.
IMPACT
Drove push notification improvements expected to boost login success rates by 25% and lower support costs by $2.4M annually
Designed and implemented a flexible design process that reduced ambiguity, improved collaboration, and led to higher-quality design solutions
Created a work management dashboard that improved visibility, streamlined project coordination, and strengthened team alignment
Broke down silos by embedding cross-functional collaboration into workflows leading to higher-quality outcomes with less rework
Introduced documentation of design rationale to ensure decisions were intentional and easy to communicate to partners and stakeholders, now and in the future
Increased usability testing early and consistently across our workflow to validate assumptions sooner

ATB Financial is a Canadian financial institution providing clients with personal, business, and investment banking services.
As a Lead Product Designer, I guided and mentored a multi-disciplinary team in the design and delivery of multiple web and mobile personal banking experiences including Replace debit card, Manage debit limit, and SMS e-Transfer.
IMPACT
Drove the design of multiple debit card management features cutting operational costs by $3M annually
Established consistent partner touchpoints, design critiques, and feedback loops to capture diverse input and ensure high-quality deliverables
Structured and organized our Figma team space and created our scalable FigJam Discovery and Analyze file, and Figma Design file templates
Created and implemented a tailored design process that allowed designers to confidently and efficiently take an experience from start to finish

The Irish Government's suite of mission critical applications was expanding rapidly and this came with growing pains.
Looking to take their growing family of apps from simply functional to deeply meaningful, I joined the team, as the sole UX designer, to modernize the user experience and design process.
IMPACT
Modernized the UX and design process for a suite of custom applications used by 55+ public bodies
Owned the end-to-end UX process for multiple 0-to-1 applications, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity design and handoff
Embedded inclusive design into our UX process, collaborating with the internal accessibility team to ensure all apps met WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Designed a turnkey internal communications and collaboration platform, based on SharePoint, that could be quickly implemented and customized by departments
Advocated for the development of a design system to drive consistency across apps and streamline design and development efforts
